At Himmarshee Plastic Surgery, founded by the visionary Dr. Harry K. Moon we, Dr. Savannah Moon and Dr. Stephanie Scurci, carry forward his legacy. Our commitment is to our patients, fostering trust through compassionate and personalized bedside care. Our surgical technique is marked by precision, innovation, and a commitment to achieving natural-looking results.

Our aesthetic office and onsite ambulatory surgery center are located in a historic Spanish Mediterranean building, designed by the renowned architect Francis Abreu steps off Las Olas.

How it all started

History

In 1925 Himmarshee Court Apartments were created. It was the first apartment building in Fort Lauderdale and was designed by renowned architect Francis L. Abreu in a Mediterranean revival style.

In 1987 Dr. Harry K Moon moved to Florida as Chairman of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida.

From 2003 – 2004 the restoration of Himmarshee Court by Dr. Harry K Moon went underway. It was designated as a historical building by the City of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County. The building has received numerous awards for restoration.

In 2023 Dr. Savannah Moon and Dr. Stephanie Scurci re-establish the practice of Himmarshee Plastic Surgery.

Savannah Moon, DO

Dr. Moon is a dedicated plastic and reconstructive surgeon. She earned her medical degree at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. Following her General Surgery Residency at Cleveland Clinic Florida, Dr. Moon further honed her expertise through a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at the same institution. Delving deeper into her interests, she completed a fellowship in Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery in Miami at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Dr. Moon is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Moon specializes in facial aesthetics and reconstructive surgery.

Plastic Surgeon

Stephanie Scurci, MD

Dr. Scurci is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon providing the full spectrum of aesthetic and reconstructive surgical procedures. Her medical journey began at the University of Maryland School of Medicine/Shock Trauma, where she earned her medical degree. She subsequently relocated to Florida, undertaking a General Surgery Residency at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. After becoming board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Scurci further specialized in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery through a 3-year fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida.
